Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Audit Associate to join our audit team. This individual will play a key role in managing audit engagements, mentoring junior staff, and supporting client relationships while continuing to develop technically and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all aspects of audit engagements, including planning, execution, and review of workpapers
  • Prepare and review audited financial statements
  • Participate in client meetings and communication
  • Train and mentor staff-level audit associates
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and professional standards
  • Begin developing strong client relationships and engagement ownership
  • Supervise audit and select non-audit engagements efficiently

Technical Development Expectations

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of GAAP, OCBOA, and specialized accounting principles
  • Apply Generally Accepted Auditing Standards and common audit procedures
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency sufficient to supervise staff accountants

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
  • CPA license, CPA exam passed, or CPA-eligible
  • 3+ years of public accounting audit experience
  • Experience with nonprofit clients preferred
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Acrobat and QuickBooks a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
